We selected this beer to be our ProAm GABF entry from the 2013 Bier de Rock Competition. Brewed on 12/30/2013, this was the 15th beer we ever brewed at Grist. It took that long to get where we wanted. After fermenting, souring and aging in a barrel with a heavy load of blueberries, we are finally happy to bring you the Blueberry Sweet Tart. Tim Thomssen was the homebrewer from which this recipe comes. The Blueberry has an obvious aroma of blueberries with a tart, puckering flavor and noticeable funk from the Brett/Lacto/Pedio bacteria blend used to sour the beer.
We'll release this beer during GABF week. We didn't make much, so get it while it lasts.
