2nd Annual Homebrew Competition Winner
Karl Geib's S'mores Stout - We brewed this Karl on 12/19/2015 and will release it on 1/22/2016. Wow, what a recipe. Into the mash tun went 100 lbs of graham crackers. Into the kettle went 100 lbs of marshmallows and 100 lbs of dried milk. Yes, dried milk, not lactose, dried milk. Into the fermenter went 16.5 lbs of cocoa nibs. At the end, this is a smooth milk stout that has a milk chocolate quality to it. As it warms a bit, marshmallow and graham cracker flavors become more noticeable. What a fun beer to make.
